Planned Parenthood v. Casey, 505 U.S. 833 (1992), was a landmark decision case of the Supreme Court of the United States about abortion. In an opinion, the Court supported the right to have an abortion as given in Roe v. Wade (1973).
The case came from a challenge to five provisions of the Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act of 1982.[1]
On June 24, 2022, the final opinion of Dobbs v. Jackson overturned both Casey and Roe.[2]
